Bellis Blues Cafe is turning ONE! Can you believe it?
Q: How did Bellis Blues Cafe Start?
A: The idea started from a post on the Second Life community Linden Homes forums by Nika Talaj, stating that someone should start up a little coffee house cafe where the homeless people waiting to get their own new premium Linden home could come and hang out. So Cian and I discussed the idea and came up with Bellis Blues Cafe, a blues house coffee shop and from there we began holding weekly events with Bellisseria DJ's to offer a place for people to come hang out together, and offering all genre of music styles, dance and have fun.
Q: What special events have you had through the year that was most memorable?
A: Definitely the impromptu event on July 21st, 2019, when we sent out the first notice in Citizens Group announcing the cafe's opening. Suddenly people started teleporting in and dancing to the stream we had playing. Then a nice man named Shamu, IM'd me and said he was a blues DJ and could play for us that night, it was pretty late and what a great party we had! He became one of our weekly Blues DJ's at the cafe.
We've also hosted and co-sponsored events at the Bellisseria fairgrounds, like the Valentine's Day event, the Other Dating Game, Bellisseria's 1 Year Anniversary celebration and more. We've had so much fun being part of the Bellisseria community over this last year.
Q: What would you like the Bellisseria community to know about Bellis Blues Cafe?
A: That we are here for everyone's enjoyment and entertainment. We're the only blues venue on the Bellisseria continent and have been here now going on 1 year and plan to keep providing events people can participate in and enjoy. We're open 24/7 for people to drop in and hang out, providing patrons a diverse listening pleasure to all genre of music but especially the blues, at the cafe. Come visit us today in Domingos region!
